Why join us?
At Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain, you’ll have opportunities to grow your career while making a difference. This is a dynamic, international environment, staffed by caring and collaborative people. If you’re ready to create excellence with us, you’ll be appreciated and rewarded.
Job Overview
You will lead the functional definition, strategic roadmap, and implementation of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions for Process Engineering (Machining & Assembly), ensuring full digital continuity and seamless integration between PLM, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and SAP.
You will act as the key interface between Process Engineering, Plant Operations, IT/IS departments, and external technology partners, transforming complex manufacturing requirements into robust digital tools, standard structures, and interconnected system architectures.
Additionally, you will manage process engineering innovation initiatives and Industry 4.0 projects, driving continuous improvement, tool adoption, and technological evolution across manufacturing engineering.
What you will do
In the context of Process Engineering PLM, System Interconnectivity (MES/SAP), and Innovation Management:
PLM Business Product Ownership: Lead the functional product ownership for Process Engineering PLM tools (3DEXPERIENCE / CATIA / DELMIA context). Define business requirements, user stories, solution specifications, and validation plans for process planning (PPR - Process Planning & Resources, ProtoBOM, etc.).
Systems Interconnectivity & Architecture: Define and govern the functional interfaces and data flows connecting PLM with MES and SAP. Ensure end-to-end digital continuity, master data alignment, process routing synchronization, and system evolution
Process Engineering Innovation Management: Identify, evaluate, and lead Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing innovation projects across machining, assembly, and industrial systems (digital twins, simulation tools, automated scripts, smart factory standards).
Project & Stakeholder Management: Drive end-to-end technological project execution, leading cross-functional alignment between Process Engineering, Plant Operations, IT teams, and external partners (3DS, CT Grupo, etc.) while ensuring timeline, scope, and quality targets.
Change Management & Training: Facilitate organizational adoption of new digital tools and process engineering workflows. Provide training, documentation, and support to process engineers and shop-floor key users.
Governance & Performance Monitoring: Define KPIs, monitor digital tool performance and data quality, gather user feedback, and manage the feature backlog.
What we’re looking for
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or Computer Science.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industry 4.0, or Manufacturing Systems, with specialization in PLM/CAD/CAM and Industrial IT.
Relevant professional experience.
Languages
Spanish and English (B2/C1).
Technical Skills
PLM & CAD/CAM Proficiency: Working knowledge of PLM platforms (e.g., 3DEXPERIENCE) and basic concepts of CATIA for process engineering and 3D mockups.
System Architecture & Interconnectivity: Solid understanding of IT/OT architecture concepts and data interfaces connecting PLM, MES, and SAP (BOMs, PPR structures, process routings).
Manufacturing Process Expertise: In-depth experience in machining (mecanizado), assembly (montaje), and/or industrial systems engineering.
Innovation & Industry 4.0: Experience with smart manufacturing technologies, digital factory initiatives, process simulation, and workflow automation.
Management & Methodological Skills
Project Management & Agile PO: Proven ability to manage complex tech/digital projects, define roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and run project steering points.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong capacity to collaborate across departments (Process Engineering, IT/IS, Operations) and coordinate with external tech vendors.
Change & Risk Management: Skills to drive digital transformation, mitigate implementation risks, and guide engineering teams through new tool adoption.
Soft Skills
Effective Communication: Ability to translate complex technical/IT architectures into clear business proposals for stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Pragmatic approach to resolving process bottlenecks and aligning IT solutions with business strategy.
Teamwork & Adaptability: Highly collaborative mindset, adaptability in evolving project environments, and strong initiative.
